Who we are

UGL (Universal Games League) operates the waitlist and tournament platform at universalgamesleague.com from the United Arab Emirates. For anything in this policy, contact privacy@universalgamesleague.com.

What we collect

When you join a waitlist: your email address, the game and server(s) you selected, your consent choices, the time of signup, and a tag for which link brought you here (for example "discord" or "cafe"). That is the complete list — no names, no phone numbers, no payment details, no tracking profiles.

Why we collect it

To run the waitlist and email you about the tournament you joined — status, prize confirmation, and when registration opens (the required consent). If you also ticked the optional box, we may email you about new tournaments and sponsor offers. We use each piece of data only for these purposes.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers that run the platform: Cloudflare (hosting and database) and Brevo (email delivery). We do not sell personal data. Sponsors receive aggregate numbers only — for example, how many players joined a waitlist — never your email or identity. Site analytics are Cloudflare Web Analytics: cookieless and anonymous.

How long we keep it

Until you leave. Every email carries a preferences link with two options: stop the optional offer emails while staying on the tournament waitlist, or leave entirely — which immediately and permanently deletes your email and all data attached to it. You can also email privacy@universalgamesleague.com and we will delete you manually.

Your rights

Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law you can ask us at any time to access, correct, or delete your data, or to withdraw a consent. Email privacy@universalgamesleague.com — no forms, no fee.

Age

The platform is for players aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if that happens, tell us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date above changes with it, and material changes will be announced to the list before they take effect.
